Master of Social Work

32 Month Program for Working Professionals

Designed for those who work full time, this unique option allows you to earn an MSW degree over a thirty-two month period through evening, weekend and summer study. This program option begins in September 2007, and is open only to new first-year MSW students. During your course of study, you will complete your 65 credits within a learning community cohort that remains the same over the course of the program option. Field placements will be arranged during evening, weekend and summer time periods. The program option features a specially coordinated advisement system in which your practice instructor is also your field learning advisor. You will also participate in a special practice lab over your first 2 semesters designed to prepare you for the field agency placement you will begin in your 3rd semester. The period of study for this option is 8 semesters including summer study, with 1,100 hours of field learning. As in our Two-Year Program, the curriculum consists of a professional foundation followed by an advanced concentration in clinical practice with individuals and families.

Applicants must have at least three years of professional or business experience working with people. Admission is selective. Financial aid is available. This program is only available at the Washington Square Campus location.
