Professor Deborah Padgett Gives Talk on Housing Insecurity at the Roundtable on Science in Social Work

Professor Deborah Padgett gave a plenary talk at the recent "Roundtable on Science in Social Work" meeting held at Islandwood on Bainbridge Island, Washington, on August 7-10. Representing the Academy for Social Work and Social Welfare (AASWSW), Padgett spoke about housing insecurity as a "grand challenge" for the profession in the future. Along with other leaders in the field, she participated in roundtable discussions of the role of science in social work and how to advance the field's prominence in scholarship. The roundtable was sponsored by AASWSW, the University of Southern California School of Social Work, and the University of Washington School of Social Work.
