The 35th Annual International Psychohistorical Association Presents:

Psychohistory is the study of cultural and historical motivations:  the "why" of social movements past and present.  The 35th Annual IPA Convention will include over 50 scholarly works on the subjects of The Personality of Presidential Candidates, Psychohistorical Social Policy Analysis, Psychobiography, Collective Trauma and Reenactments, The Study of Historical Personality, Psychohistory of War, The World Financial Crisis, Group Psychohistory, Psychohistorical Study of Film, Graduate Student Panel on Social Justice in the 21st Century, and The Rudolf Binion Memorial Panel.

Featured Speakers

The Keynote address will be provided by Howard F. Stein, PhD of the University of Oklahoma and author of recent books Insight and Imagination: A Study in Knowing and Not-Knowing in Organizational Life, In the Shadow of Asclepius - Poems from American Medicine, and Beneath the Crust of Culture: Psychoanalytic Anthropology and the Cultural Unconscious in American Life.  Dr. Stein will be speaking on "Chosen Trauma in Jewish Identity and History" returning to a topic he first spoke on 35 years ago at the inaugural IPA conference in 1978.
