The Division of Lifelong Learning and Professional Development is an integral part of the Silver School of Social Work. We provide an opportunity for graduates of NYU and other schools of social work to continue their learning as they advance in their careers. Our array of programs is tailored to meet emerging needs of clients and agencies. Our program offerings are, in large part, based on feedback from agency directors, faculty, and clinicians, including former participants. We provide advanced learning encompassing theoretical and practice models.
Given the compelling rise in the demand for social services, we recognize the need to prepare more leaders for the future. As we reach out to our professional community, we are dedicated to program expansion and constant improvement as we learn from the participants. Our program philosophy is to provide programs that are relevant, current, challenging, and accessible.
Greetings from the Dean
Lynn Videka, BSN, AM, PhD

"As social workers we are committed to lifelong learning as a professional responsibility in order to help our clients with the most up-to-date ideas and intervention approaches. At the NYU Silver School of Social Work we take seriously our responsibility to provide continuing education to the social work and human service community. You will find that we offer an array of workshops, conferences, and postgraduate programs, all designed to advance the knowledge and skills of social workers and human service professionals."
