The Ayurveda Way Book Launch/Cocktail Party

On April 17, 2017, alumni, staff, and friends of the NYU Social Entrepreneurship Program gathered to celebrate the release of The Ayurveda Way: 108 Practices from the World's Oldest Healing System for Better Sleep, Less Stress, Optimal Digestion, and More. The Ayurveda Way was written by 2006 Scholar Ananta Ripa Ajmera and offers an inspiring introductory guide to Ayurveda—the holistic health companion to yoga—and the oldest healing system in the world. We were joined by 125 of Ananta's friends and supporters to celebrate this tremendous accomplishment.

The Ayurveda Way makes this ancient approach understandable and applicable to a diverse, modern audience. Drawing on her experience as an Ayurveda teacher, Ajmera offers accessible advice on handling some of today's most pressing health priorities. Recipes incorporate spices such as turmeric, cumin, and ginger into daily meals for optimal digestion; easy breathing techniques and simple meditations help calm the mind; and advice like creating a personal sanctuary place in the home help nourish the spirit. Showcasing 108 different ways of accessing Ayurveda, The Ayurveda Way makes time–tested wisdom available to contemporary holistic health enthusiasts—even beginners—and anyone seeking inspiration and coaching on small changes they can make in their daily routine to uncover their natural, radiant health.
