Master of Public Administration, May 2009
Profile (.pdf)

David Russell is Director of Survivors Fund (SURF), a UK-based international non-profit organization which represents and supports survivors of the Rwandan genocide. It delivers holistic programs of support to survivors in partnership with local grassroots organizations in Rwanda, including Ibuka and Avega-Agahozo.

SURF is guided by a bottom-up approach to supporting the needs of survivors, as determined by survivors themselves. Projects that SURF supports include, among others, healthcare, house-building, education and entrepreneurship.

As Founder of The Social Enterprise, David also continues to advise an array of social ventures, including the Specially Produced Innovatively Directed (SPID) Theatre Company, which develops artistic programmes with urban youth in London, and is a co-founder of Parenterprise, an innovative early education initiative being piloted in London.

David is particularly proud to be a trustee of the Congregation of Jacob, England's last folk art synagogue, which he is helping to rejuvenate in London's East End, and a director of Pashkes of London, a dessert company with a social mission.

David also has an MA from Christ's College, Cambridge University.
