Peer Education

Peer Education is a premier leadership opportunity within the NYU Student Health Center that utilizes the expertise of students who are trained to provide educational programs and outreach. There are three peer education groups which discuss a large range of health topics:

  1. Peers Educating Peers about Substances (PEPS): alcohol, smoking cessation, and other drugs.
  2. Peer Health Awareness Team (PHAT): stress management, fitness, sleep, and healthful eating.
  3. Sexual Health Advocates (SHA): sexual health and sexual assault

Stressbusters

Stressbusters is an incredibly fun and far-reaching community wellness program. It continuously trains and dispatches volunteer teams of undergrad and grad students to provide FREE five-minute backrubs and health information to other students and staff at campus events, residence halls, organization meetings, libraries and wherever else the stressed gather - day and night.
