Women's Health Services provides confidential examinations, treatment, and information regarding all women's health issues. Board-certified gynecologists and nurse practitioners certified in women's health staff this unit. Additionally, many of our providers are certified to perform specialized testing if necessary, including colposcopy, cryosurgery, and biopsies.

Important Information Regarding the Cost of Contraceptives

Services available include*:

  • Complete annual physical exams including breast exam, gynecological exam, pap smears and other health maintenance testing as needed
  • Testing and treatment of Sexually Transmitted Infections
  • Contraceptive counseling/management
  • Well-Woman Workshops
  • Evaluation of menstrual and other gynecologic disorders, such as:
    • Vaginitis
    • Urinary Tract Infections
    • Endometriosis
    • Pelvic Pain
    • Sexual Concerns
  • Management and treatment of abnormal pap tests
  • HIV testing
  • HPV vaccine
  • Flu vaccine
  • Pregnancy Detection
  • Preconception counseling and testing

Women's Health Services offers a general women's health workshop on a variety of topics including:

  • Contraceptive Options
  • Gynecological Exams
  • Sexually Transmitted Infection Prevention
  • Breast Self-Exam
  • And more

Workshops are 20 minutes in length and are available throughout the week by appointment. Call Women's Health Services at (212) 443-1166 to sign up.



Women's Health Drop-In Sessions - (no appointment necessary)
Stop by U-Hall on Fridays, 12:30 - 2:30 p.m. and meet with a doctor or nurse practitioner from the Student Health Center's Women's Health Services for:

  • Birth control prescriptions (new and refills)
  • Questions answered and concerns addressed
  • Safer sex information

When? Fridays, Sep. 11 - Dec. 18, 12:30 - 2:30 p.m. (except Nov. 27)
