For some medical conditions, your physician may refer you to a Specialist for consultation and treatment. Specialists collaborate with your physician to ensure that you receive the appropriate diagnosis and treatment of your condition. NYU Student Health Center has over 20 board-certified Specialists that offer comprehensive coverage of a wide variety of Specialty services.
If additional testing or procedures are necessary beyond the services available within SHC, you may be referred to these NYU affiliates. If this occurs, your physician will discuss the options with you to ensure that the best possible treatment is offered.
