Radiology exams are an essential tool for today's healthcare provider. The exams are a reliable and accurate mean of obtaining information to help your provider diagnose and treat your illness or injury. To ensure timely and accurate testing, SHC maintains an on-site Radiology Service. The department is conveniently located close to all Primary Care Services. A qualified Radiological Technologist (RT) licensed by the state of New York and registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists will perform your examination. All of our technologists are highly skilled with years of experience in performing all of the prescribed exams.
A copy of the x-ray report can be obtained free of charge after a HIPPA release has been signed by the student. Copies of x-ray films can be obtained at no charge and will be available on the next business day. Certain radiological services are not available at SHC. These include Mammography, CT scans and Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI). If your provider orders one of these exams, you will be referred offsite. The off-site facility will bill your insurance carrier for their services.
