Contrary to what many people think, most healthy young people do not need regular physical examination or bloodwork.

Routine recommendations for young adults are:

  • Blood pressure and weight checks about every 2 years
  • A cholesterol check every 5 years after age 35
  • Annual STI testing if you are sexually active
  • For sexually active women, regular pap testing
  • For tobacco users, review of tobacco use with tobacco cessation intervention for those who use tobacco products

In Primary Care, we:

  • Identify and treat common medical conditions
  • Assess the urgency of your medical problems and direct you to the best place for care
  • Make referrals to medical specialists when necessary

We are staffed by experienced, board-certified Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, Physician's Assistants, Registered Nurses and Medical Assistants who take a special interest in your well-being and academic success.
