NYU DESIGNATED MATERNITY PROVIDERS
For Students Enrolled in the NYU-sponsored Basic, Comp and GSHIP Plans
Through collaboration with the NYU Medical Center - Tisch Hospital and several obstetricians in the community, most maternity care treatment through these designated providers will be covered 100 percent.
In particular, these plans will cover 100% of the negotiated charge for:
- Routine obstetric care including pre-natal visits, delivery and postpartum care for both
- Vaginal delivery (CPT Code 59400) and
- Cesarean delivery (CPT Code 59510)
- Inpatient hospitalization for delivery
(Please note that any additional maternity-related care or treatment will be covered at 80% of negotiated charges for Aetna-preferred providers and 50% of reasonable charges for Aetna-non-preferred providers.)
