NYU DESIGNATED MATERNITY PROVIDERS
For Students Enrolled in the NYU-sponsored Basic, Comp and GSHIP Plans
Through collaboration with the NYU Medical Center - Tisch Hospital and several obstetricians in the community, most maternity care treatment through these designated providers will be covered 100%.
In particular, the Basic, Comprehensive, and GSHIP Plans will cover 100% of the negotiated charge for the following maternity care by Designated Providers:
- Routine obstetric care including pre-natal visits, delivery and postpartum care for both
- Vaginal delivery (CPT Code 59400) and
- Cesarean delivery (CPT Code 59510)
- Inpatient hospitalization for delivery
Please note that additional maternity-related care or treatment will be covered as follows:
Basic Plan - 80% of negotiated charges for providers in the MultiPlan network and 50% of reasonable charges for non-MultiPlan providers.
Comp/GSHIP - 90% of negotiated charges for providers in the MultiPlan network and 70% of reasonable charges for non-MultiPlan providers.
