"nyuguest" is a wireless network made available for NYU guests and visitors who do not have an NYU NetID and thus cannot connect to the regular NYU Wi-Fi "nyu" network. (If you are an NYU community member, you should always connect to "nyu" instead of requesting guest access.) "nyuguest" is designed for short-term visitors or events. Sponsors should obtain affiliate NetIDs for longer-term guests and contractors.
Full-time NYU faculty, staff, and students who will be hosting a guest or group of guests who will need wireless Internet access can directly register their guests using the NYU Wi-Fi Guest Sponsor Portal.
Additionally, you can request a guest ID/password from your locally-designated departmental or school representative or at Bobst Library. (Representatives change too frequently to list here; please speak with your area's administrative staff for current details.) If you can't use the NYU Wi-Fi Guest Sponsor Portal and there is no departmental contact for your area, you can request "nyuguest" access for your guests by contacting the IT Service Desk.
If you are a visitor at NYU and have been provided an "nyuguest" ID and password, following the below instructions to connect.
Note: If you are a guest and have not been provided with login credentials, please ask the NYU faculty or administrator that is sponsoring your visit to follow the instructions in the above section. In addition, nyuguest IDs and credentials only work for a short period of time. If the ones you are given expire during your visit, ask your sponsor to obtain a new one by following the instructions in the above section.
