All requests for new space start with filling out a Space Request Form and submitting it to SAPD. Whether it is due to the growth of a department, creation of a new school, temporary swing space during a renovation, or a domino move due to the change of use of existing space, all new space needs begin with this form. It is the starting point for further discussions, but the more information each department/unit is able to provide, the more efficiently SAPD will be able to match a space to the stated need.
The Space Request Worksheet A and B also needs to be completed and submitted along with the Space Request Form. It is a tool to that helps to quantify the programmatic needs for the department/unit.
