As Senior Director of Space Planning, Eve Klein, has the responsibility to:
- Oversee the short-term space planning for the University. Guide project owners through the steps of assessing their space planning needs.
- Make recommendations to the Space Planning Working Group for approval of all allocations.
- Manage the space allocation process for academic and administrative units, including the Space Allocation Agreement. Develop and maintain project tracking systems.
- Supervise the Space Administration unit within SAPD.
Prior to arriving at NYU, Eve trained at Polshek Partnership Architects, where NYU, the School Construction Authority and The Public Theater were among her clients. She also ran her own architectural design practice, served as an advisor for the National Design Awards at the Cooper-Hewitt National Design Museum, and worked at the American Federation for the Arts. Eve received her BA from Vassar College and her Masters in Architecture from UCLA. Her husband is a NYU alum and their two young children get very excited whenever they hear anyone mention NYU (which is quite often).
