As the Director of Financial Management for Capital Planning & General Counsel, Jin Chai Kim is responsible for:

1. Financial analysis financial analyses as part of the Strategic Assessment team
2. Directing the development of the University's long term capital plan
3. She also serves as the Fiscal Officer providing financial oversight for the Office of Senior Vice President and General Counsel

Jin was an original member of the Office of Budget and Planning at NYU in 2002. Prior to coming to NYU, she worked as a Senior Budget Analyst in the New York City Office of Management and Budget. She has spent time in Korea researching and forecasting economic trends in the United States and Japan for a local investment bank. She has a BA in Economics from Binghamton University, and her MPA in Financial Management and Public Finance is from the Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service at NYU.
