Starting to think about kindergarten admissions testing?  Join us to:

  • Gain an understanding of the different admissions tests for private independent and the public NYC gifted and talented schools. including Hunter College Elementary School
  • Learn what IQ tests really measure
  • Explore what you can do to address the impact of test timing, a bi-lingual home, and other factors on your child’s test scores.
Also discussed are natural and playful ways you can positively influence your child’s intellectual capabilities, testing performance, and elementary school success.

 

Instructors:  Roxana Reid and Terri Decker of Smart City Kids, an educational consulting group that helps families in New York City navigate the public and private school admissions process. 

Roxana Reid is the director and founder of Smart City Kids. For the last ten years, she has assisted thousands of New York City families through the process of finding the best educational fit for their children.

Terri Decker is an education admissions specialist at Smart City Kids. She has over 15 years of professional and personal experience in New York City independent schools at both the ongoing and nursery school levels.
