Get the inside scoop on NYC’s public elementary school system from a panel of experts. Clara Hemphill, Inside Schools, Maggie Moroff, Advocates for Children, and Terri Decker, Smart City Kids provide an overview of the NYC public elementary school options and share insights into how to choose a school for your child. Participants will hear about zoned, dual language, charter, general education, and gifted and talented programs, as well as programs and strategies to address the needs of children with special needs. Participants learn the general timeline for admissions including registration, placement, and testing. Ample time is provided for a Q&A.
