Your child’s temperament influences how he or she relates within the family, in school, and other settings. In this session, Dr. McClowry uses her knowledge and insights about temperaments to provide tips and identify clues that help you assess learning environments so that you can find one that will work for your child. She also offers guidance on how to recognize your school-age child’s personality and suggests effective strategies for use at home and in school to improve children’s behavior and engagement.

Instructor: Sandee McClowry, PhD, RN, FAAN is a Professor of Applied Psychology and Teaching & Learning in NYU’s Steinhardt School of Culture, Education, and Development.  She is the developer of INSIGHTS into Children’s Temperaments and author of “Your Child’s Unique Temperament: Insights and Strategies for Responsive Parenting.”
