Cesar Francia is currently attending New York University School of Law, where he is serving as an Executive Co-Chair to the Latino Law Student Association and a board member to the Law & Social Entrepreneurship Association. Cesar is the recipient of the Paul & Daisy Soros Fellowship for New Americans and the American Bar Association Legal Opportunity Scholarship.
Prior to law school, Cesar served as Aide to the Chambers of Justice Sonia Sotomayor at the Supreme Court of the United States.
He was born and raised in Caracas, Venezuela and moved to the United States at the age of 14. As an undergraduate at NYU, he studied abroad in Italy and the Czech Republic, participated in volunteer work in the Dominican Republic and traveled extensively throughout Europe, Africa and Asia. As a Reynolds Scholar, he spent a summer interning for Miracle Corners of the World in Rwanda, overseeing the development of small enterprises and the construction of a community center.
