Lyel Resner is presently Co-Founder of Startup Box South Bronx (SB2) - a co-working space that incubates promising technology startups and offers STEM programming to youth in the South Bronx.
Lyel began his career in Emerging Markets Structured Finance for Deutsche Bank. He left Wall Street to pursue a passion for education, and ran academic programming for the East Harlem Tutorial Program, a CBO that provides free educational services to over 400 students in Spanish Harlem.
Lyel’s other professional experience includes strategy and customer development consulting for a number of startups, managing micro-finance projects in Peru for Kiva, and Impact Investing consulting for the Rockefeller Foundation.
Lyel received his masters from NYU as a Reynolds Fellow in Social Entrepreneurship, and holds degrees in Physics and Political Science from MIT, where he was a Burchard Humanities Scholar.
