Jason Spindler is Managing Director and Founding Partner of Relief Development Consulting (RDC; www.reliefconsulting.com). Prior to starting RDC Jason's career combined experience in both the traditional business sector, working in Finance on Wall Street in New York, and the international development sector, working in emerging markets from Peru to India.

Jason worked in Investment Banking at Citigroup's Debt Capital Markets and Investment Recovery Groups. From 2000 to 2002, he took an active, hands-on role in the restructuring of Citigroup's distressed investments, including the Enron, Global Crossing, and Winstar restructurings. He later joined Questor Management Partners, the private equity arm of the operations-based turnaround and restructuring consulting firm AlixPartners, LLC.

After Questor, Jason joined the Peace Corps as a Business and Economic Development Volunteer in the Peruvian Highlands. While in Peru, he served as the Interim-Director and advisor to the Board of Directors of Asociacion Civil Tierra, an internationally funded NGO focused on developing local agro-industrial businesses. He worked to develop AC Tierra's long-term strategy for sustainability, and spearhead the organization's transition from a traditional non-profit organization, dependent on external financing, to a for-profit manufacturing business owned and operated by local farmers.

Jason graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with degrees in Finance and Economics. He did his graduate studies at New York University School of Law, where he focused on rule of law and international development policy. While at NYU he received the NYU Reynolds Fellowship in Social Entrepreneurship, for his work with for-profit sustainable economic development initiatives.

While in law school, Jason worked with a number of leading organizations in the social entrepreneurship sector. He worked briefly with Acumen Fund, a New York based, private equity style development fund, as a strategic advisor to one of their portfolio companies. He worked with InSite New York, a venture capital incubator and strategy consultancy, which is a collaboration between NYU's and Columbia's Schools of Business and Law.

Jason was also a consultant for Ashoka's Law for All Initiative in New Delhi, India. At Ashoka, he worked closely with Ashoka staff and Fellows throughout Asia to develop innovative processes for strengthening integrity systems and combat corruption at both the grassroots and governmental policy levels. He also worked to develop a comprehensive best practices analysis for Ashoka, aimed at identifying the most successful strategies utilized by hundreds of their social entrepreneurs throughout India and Nepal. Building on his time in India, Jason spent nearly a year conducting research on best practices and innovation in the development sector in China, Singapore, Jakarta and Aceh, Indonesia, and Northern Vietnam.
