Ross Meyer is currently the first Executive Director of the Greater Cincinnati Workforce Network (GWCN), a new regional workforce development intermediary for the Greater Cincinnati region. The GCWN is a partnership between philanthropic foundations, local and state government agencies, employers, chambers of commerce, educational institutions, service providers, and workforce investment boards in the tri-state region. The GCWN aims to help employers meet their need for a skilled workforce while expanding job opportunities for low-wage workers, the unemployed, and hard-to-employ individuals. The GCWN will work to align the policies, strategies and resources of the region’s workforce development system; develop “career pathways” in targeted growing industries; build the capacity of workforce service providers; and pursue needed policy reforms. As the first Executive Director, Ross is responsible for launching and managing all aspects of the GCWN.
