Join us for the first webinar of the 2017 competition, which will be hosted by NYU Reynolds Program Program Manager Rachel Botos and D-Prize Co-Founder Paul Youn. You will learn how to successfully design your social venture, get a brief overview of the field of social entrepreneurship, have the opportunity to workshop your idea with an international community of change agents, and ask any questions you may have. At least half of 90-minute session will be dedicated to your thoughts and questions.

    As a newly founded social venture, there will definitely be doubts about your about the authenticity and credibility of your social enterprise. Without past achievement or reputation, you will need to create a credible digital presence for your social enterprise. When the public and prospective partners want to find out about your social enterprise, they are bound to look up your social enterprise on the internet. It could be the first thing they see about your new social enterprise. The question is, what impression do you want to set?

  • First Round
    Submission Deadline: February 19, 2017

    Download an application packet and follow the instructions to draft and submit your idea. You will submit a two page concept note and resume for each team member. A team of judges will review and invite the most promising ideas to the next round. Invitations to the next round will be sent by March 3, 2017.

    Second Round
    Submission Deadline: April 2, 2017

    Those invited will receive a second round application packet. You will expand on your concept and draft a full 10 page plan of your new venture. The plan will include an executive summary, a budget, milestones you plan to hit, and your future vision. A team of judges will review and send decisions by April 19, 2017.

    Final Round
    Team Interviews: Starting April 19, 2017

    The most promising entrepreneurs will have interviews with judges on the phone. Based on your plan and interview, judges may decide to award you seed capital to launch. Winners will be notified in on May 12, 2017.
