There are many ways to get involved in your on-campus living experience. With events in the halls and out you have hundreds of options to get involved!
We offer many ways to get involved in Residential Education and to make the most out of your time.
- Each Residence Hall has a student-elected Hall Council that is charged with the further development and betterment of their community. Every Hall Council is provided with funding each semester based on the number of residents in a building to host programs and pay for experiences that residents can be a part of! As your RA or look out for ways you can get involved in your own home!
- If you live in a building that has Faculty Affiliates or a Faculty Fellow in Residence they will constantly provide opportunities to connect with your friends and neighbors and engage in great learning opportunities within your hall or the city. Keep your eyes peeled for programs offered by your faculty in residence.
- Inter-Residence Hall Council is the umbrella organization that helps to govern all of the residence halls.
- Ask your RA to plan a program! Thats right; you too can have access to funding through your RA or Hall Council to host programs and events that you would like to be a part of. Your RA is there to help you with the planning and gain the experiences of an advanced student leader!
Looking for more ways to get involved, there are many other programs and events offered by Residential Education throughout the course of the year? Look for fliers or ask your hall staff about what opportunities exist to get involved!
Maybe you want to try something outside of the halls? Talk to your RA and ask them about how you can connect with the Office of Student Activities and the Student Resource Center. They are great offices here to help you as well!
