The 80 Lafayette Street Residence Hall is located in Tribeca and is in close proximity to the culturally rich neighborhoods of Chinatown and Little Italy. Lafayette opened in Fall 1999, and houses nearly 1100 upperclass students. Lafayette is staffed by one Community Development Educator, one Assistant Community Development Educator, 27 Resident Assistants, and 3 Peer Educators. Additionally, Lafayette is home to the Fraternity and Sorority Life Communities, housing 11 Fraternities and Sororities on the upper floors of the building. Our community values student learning and growth, and our staff will be focusing on creating opportunities wherein students will be goal oriented, reflective, inclusive, connected, responsible, and critical thinkers. We look forward to building new friendships and learning a little more about New York City this year!
