The Inter-Residence Hall Council (IRHC) serves as the governing body for all hall councils, which are student lead organizations within each residence hall community. The IRHC’s mission, as a student organization within the Department of Residential Education, is to improve the residential experience by supporting communities within New York University’s residence halls.
During the academic year, the IRHC coordinates and sponsors several campus wide events. Some of the IRHC’s annual traditions include Welcome Week, TORCH Day, Ultraviolet Live (UVL), and Elegance on the Water.
There are several opportunities for residential students to get actively involved in the Inter-Residence Hall Council including attending IRHC sponsored events, General Assembly (GA) meetings, and participating in an IRHC committee.
