This year, Goddard Hall is the home of NYU's first Residential College! A Residential College will provide you with a unique opportunity to build a strong community with your fellow students and faculty members around six particular intellectual streams:
· All the World's a Stage
· Global New York
· Power of Politics
· Poverty and Affluence
· The Green Stream
· Writing New York
All The World's a Stage, Global New York and Writing New York are connected to a course, "Writing the Essay", in which students from these three streams take classes together in the classroom located on the second floor of the building. Our staff of six RAs, six Faculty Affiliates, our Community Development Educator Ty Crisman, and our Faculty Fellow in Residence, Rogan Kersh work to ensure that quality learning happens outside the classroom. Residents in Goddard are also a part of F.Y.R.E., the First-Year Residential Experience at New York University. Our efforts as a staff are to provide transition for incoming students, ensuring that you feel welcomed and are provided support for transitioning into life at NYU. The Residential College has a strong hall government, which gives residents an opportunity to provide their own programming for Goddard Hall. Again, welcome to our dynamic hall!
