Hall/Room Selection times are determined by a randomized sorting within priority categories. Students submitting names together will have individual priorities averaged to create one group priority. Students submitting together on one card does not guarantee placement together in a building nor a room assignment together. As space becomes limited, groups may be forced to split apart.

Students will be notified the week of April 13, 2009 via their NYUHome account of the specific date and time the card captain will be able to access the Lottery Selection form and begin assigning members of their card to bed spaces for the Fall 2009 and Spring 2010 academic year. Card captains will be able to access the Lottery Selection form through the Housing Forms Channel at NYUHome.

Card Captains will be given access to the Phase III assignment form 15 minutes prior to the start of their selection time in order to check available inventory, familiarize themselves with the online Lottery Selection form and begin building a list of placement preferences.

While students are not required to chose an assignment at their selection time, other lottery cards will continue to be rolled into the selection pool. All card captains will have until April 30, 2009, 5:00 pm EST to make a room selection for next year.

As space becomes limited groups may be forced to split apart. ALL members of a group MUST be assigned or else the entire group will remain unassigned.

Please Note: As post lottery vacancies occur, the Department of Housing reserves the right to consolidate assignments in order to facilitate room changes over the summer. If such consolidation is necessary, students will be kept with their lottery card roommates, and every effort will be made to maintain the same room type within the hall chosen.
