Beginning this Fall (2008), the Department of Residential Education will host visiting faculty (from NYU and outside of NYU), for a 3-5 day stay in a fully-furnished apartment in the Palladium Residence Hall. Conveniently located in Union Square, the Palladium is near the main Washington Square academic buildings, local transportation, and is situated in one of the most exciting neighborhoods in New York City. During their stay, visiting faculty will be expected to participate in 1-2 activities of their choice with NYU undergraduates.  These programs are designed to augment activities conducted by our 19 Faculty Fellows In Residence, our 50 Faculty Affiliates (who lead programming efforts on our 50 academic living learning communities), and our three new Faculty In and of the City (who will begin programming activities in the boroughs of NYC this fall).

Residential Education is committed to providing a wonderful experience for our visiting faculty members.  We will work with each visiting faculty member to provide both logistical assistance and financial support for planned programs and activities, leaving plenty of time for the visiting faculty member and their guests/family to enjoy the benefits of a 3-5 day stay in the City.

We welcome your nomination of talented individuals who enjoy engaging undergraduates to serve as visiting faculty. Or, if you are a faculty member interested in participating, we would love to hear from you!
