Sophomore Retreat, Fall 2007 (TBA)
Stay tuned for more information for how to apply for this first-time ever exciting opportunity focused on leadership and personal exploration during your second year at NYU. This retreat will sponsor 35 sophomore students to attend a leadership retreat away from NYU, in the greater NY area.

Watch the documentary, "Too Hot Not to Handle" at Cantor, learn about the environmental impacts of 9/11 on the city, learn about going "extreme green", tour the Union Square Farmer's Market, and take the Environmental Challenge (see the 'more Resources page)! During this week-long series of events, you will learn about how to be environmentally conscious at NYU and in NYC.
Rock the VOTE Week: November 26 - 30
Watch the movie, "SiCKO" at Cantor, learn about Primaries and Caucuses, view a politically-oriented off-Broadway show, and tour the UN, and most importantly, register to vote!

Remember FYRE Fights Aids? Well, now that it's your sophomore year, dig a bit deeper into understanding HIV/AIDS in society. Stay on the lookout for educational fliers/campaigns on this all-important topic.
Faculty Lecture Series (TBA)
Remember the Freshman Lecture? In your sophomore year, we will bring the topic of gentrification to the table. Speaker Bill Easterly, Economist and author of: The White Man's Burden: Why the West's Efforts to Aid the Rest Have Done so much Ill and so Little Good, will be our inaugural guest lecturer, and talk on this compelling topic.
