The Sophomore 16 -- A Second Year To-Do List:
- Select/confirm your major
- Meet with your academic advisor regularly
- Get to know a faculty member
- Be and/or find a mentor
- Keep in contact with friends from last year
- Become an active member of any student organization or sport on campus
- Familiarize yourself with the Wasserman Center for Career Development
- Find an internship or field-related work
- Explore study abroad interests
- Finalize resume and cover letter
- Explore study abroad interests
- Assess your personal wellness
- (better) Understand financial management
- Learn to cook
- Register to Vote
- Improve time management
- Take the Environmental Challenge (see below)
Take the Environmental Challenge during 'more goes green week, or anytime! Make at least three environmentally healthy changes in your lifestyle:
- Turn off your AC/heater
- Don’t watch TV
- Turn down your computer/monitor at night
- Recycle all your paper and plastic
- Use a dish cloth instead of paper towels to dry your hands/dishes
- When printing an essay/report, only print the page(s) you need, not the entire document
- Bring your own plate for food at campus events
- Re-use your to-go bin from the dining hall
