Mixed-sex housing is an option for interested NYU students (with the exception of incoming freshmen). Students will be provided with an apartment suite for four students (two females in one room and two males in the other). Each applicant desiring the mixed-sex housing option must submit an application. The 2008-2009 Mixed-sex housing program is housed in Water Street.
- Interested students will be required to complete a brief application that will be available beginning February 1, 2008 and must be submitted by February 14, 2008. Applicants will be selected by a committee comprised of professional staff from the Department of Residential Education.
- Applicants will need to fulfill all requirements for the housing re-application process, including payment of the housing re-application fee, to be eligible for mixed-sex housing. Detailed information regarding these requirements is available on the housing website.
- A Mixed-Sex Housing information session will be held on in the Palladium 3rd Floor Seminar A (next to the Multipurpose Room) on Wednesday, February 6th at 8:00 PM. During this session, potential applicants will have the opportunity to ask administrators questions about the option, as well as meet other students who are interested in living in mixed-sex housing and who may be seeking additional roommates. Please join us at this information session if you are interested in mixed-sex housing.
- Individuals not selected for a Mixed-Sex Housing assignment will be asked to take part in the housing lottery system (please find complete details on the NYU Housing website).
