Leadership through Film: We’ve taken over 150 films that focus on leadership or wellness topics and have created structured curriculums to help student staff facilitate conversations on these topic areas. Films include Little Miss Sunshine, The Devil Wear’s Prada, and Dead Poet’s Society. Ask your RA or Peer Educator today how your floor can experience Leadership through Film. Residential Student Leader Retreat (phase one rolled out in 2007, phase two in 2008): This retreat is an opportunity for residential student leaders to meet and connect with others at an off campus camp site. This two night retreat helps student leaders to develop in a number of identified competencies. The retreat also is used as a tool to assist our residential student groups (IRHC, NRHH, RA Council, PE Council, Peer Board) to understand their roles and goals and how to interact successfully with one another. |

Residential Mentor Program: This program provides first year students the opportunity to be paired with an upperclassmen mentor. Mentors and mentees are placed together based on the answers they provide on a structured questionnaire. Several programs and events are in place throughout the year for mentors and mentees to connect. Click on the Mentorship logo to learn more about this program! |

MLK Day of Service: This event is a way for NYU students, staff, and faculty to give back to the New York City community. Each year the Leadership Team identifies community organizations with whom we partner to connect students with service projects in every borough of the city. A reception and a discussion of the work of Martin Luther King, Jr. follow the day of service. |

During spring break, members of the Residential Leadership Team, in collaboration with members of the Office of Student Activities and faculty, guide a group of undergraduate resident students on a week long alternative break program to New Orleans, Louisiana. Site topics change yearly but the experience is always deeply rooted in self reflection, community building and learning. Click on the ASB logo for more information. |

Advisor Program Circle Roundtables: Several times a year the Residential Leadership Team will take some time to have conversations with advisors in a group setting. The confernece includes a roll call of all hall councils, a keynote address, three breakout sessions and a separate advisor track. We all need to continually revisit our advising practices.
