AFAR membership is a partnership comprised of representatives of the administrative support offices tasked with conducting a strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats (SWOT) analysis, assessing risks and providing a roadmap to identify infrastructure requirements in order to implement safe, legal, financial and ethically compliant operations in foreign locations.

Global Support assists the NYU Community organize and undertake activities outside of New York by providing a centralized location for administrative resources and a single point of contact for addressing related questions.

U.S. export control laws and regulations apply to all NYU business, including academic, research, and operational activities and affect every member of the University Community wherever located in the world.
