Cayuse Resources

The Cayuse Research Suite is NYU’s system to support the submission of proposals to external sponsors (Cayuse 424). It also allows for management of the proposal submission and award process and provides a framework for tracking and reporting on sponsored project activities (Cayuse SP). Because it is a single sign-on system, once you are registered, access to Cayuse is via NYUHome’s Research tab. No additional password is required.

 

Not yet registered? Register here for electronic submissions. Please allow at least 2 business days for activation.

  • Institutional Profile: Needed for all subawardees/subcontractors prior to proposal submission. You may check to see if an institution is already in the system by selecting the “Institutions” tab in Cayuse 424 and searching for the Institution that you would like to use.

NOTE: You will need the institution’s DUNS number, EIN and indirect cost rate information in order to complete the form.

Request a new Institutional Profile.

 

  • Sponsor Profile: Needed for any proposal. When you are creating a new proposal, if you do not see the sponsor you need in the dropdown menu, you may request a Sponsor Profile. Do this at least a week prior to the proposal deadline.

NOTE: You will need the Sponsor’s DUNS number in order to complete the form.

Request a new Sponsor Profile.

 

  • Professional Profile: Needed for all individuals in the Cayuse system. The information included here will allow the Cayuse system to autofill much of the information requested for proposals. Click here for instructions on how to complete the Professional Profile in Cayuse.

To complete the Professional Profile, log in to Cayuse 424 and click on “People”.

NYU Supplemental Guidance - provides step-by-step instruction on how to complete each field in the Cayuse Proposal Record.

Cayuse Support Center - will take you to detailed instructions provided by Cayuse.

  • Benefits of Submitting NSF proposals via Cayuse424

Proposal submission and award information will be easily accessible through Cayuse, without logging in to the NSF site.

Proposal submission at NSF is moving from Fastlane to Research.gov. Using Cayuse facilitates this process.

Submission of NSF proposals via Cayuse424

We have just learned that because of changes to Research.gov, effective February 23rd 2013, we may only submit NSF proposals to Grants.gov via Cayuse. We will post new information when available. For the present, consult with your Projects Officer to ensure that the correct opportunity is used when preparing NSF proposals in Cayuse. An alternative is to submit to NSF via Fastlane.
