In response to faculty and student interest in having greater access to and participation in the life of NYU’s academic institutes abroad, the Office of the Provost is pleased to announce a set of global research initiatives.
The initiatives are designed to meet the interests of an array of faculty: those who are interested in short-term stays as well as those interested in spending a semester or even a year abroad; faculty from a range of schools and disciplines; and faculty who are interested in collaborative research initiatives as well as those working on individual projects. Finally, as graduate students are an important part of the research life of the University, there are also opportunities for them, particularly those who are at the stage of writing their dissertations.
Additionally, the Global Institute for Advanced Study (GIAS) is a new initiative designed to facilitate collaborative research on an international scale and to enable sustained attention to significant research programs that require work over several years.
Below are brief descriptions of the initiatives together with links to more detailed information. For more information about the GIAS please click here.
These opportunities are in addition to those available to NYU faculty through the NYU Abu Dhabi Research Institute.
