Pass/Fail Grades

Reported for selected courses where the instructional goal is mastery of a basic set of objectives that are not sufficiently broad to permit greater discrimination in judging student performance.

I Incomplete (Indicates that the regular course of study has ended, but the student has not completed all required assignments. This will be paired with a letter grade to indicate the quality of the completed work.)

EX Exempt (Indicates that the student was exempted from taking the course.)

Grade Point Average (GPA)

The GPA is figured on a 4-point scale, with 4 being the highest and 0 the lowest.

Class Rank

Class Rank is reported by quintile, with "first" being the upper 20% of the class and "fifth" being the lowest 20% of the class.

The alpha character preceding the course number designates the division of the University that offers the course. Those commonly appearing on transcripts issued by the College of Dentistry include:
