Academic Calendar Fall 2012

Display of the Fall 2012 Schedule of Classes	The Fall 2012 schedule of Classes will be available in the Course Search feature of Albert during the week of March 19th, 2012.
Registration Status	During the week of March 19th, 2012 you will be able to access Registration Status information in the Student Center on Albert. You will be able to obtain the date and time that you will initially be able to enroll for fall 2012 classes, check if you require advisor clearance prior to registration, and view any negative service indicators (holds) that will prevent you from enrolling at your appointed registration date/time.

Monday, September 17, 2012	Last Day of Active Waitlists.
Monday, September 17, 2012	Last day of initial registration on Albert for all students. Last day to drop/add on Albert for all Undergraduates, Graduate Arts and Science, Graduate Steinhardt, Graduate Gallatin, Graduate Nursing, Graduate Social Work, Graduate Tisch and Visiting (Non-NYU) Students. Students in these schools where the ability to register on Albert has been disabled, but who wish to perform Initial registration or drop/add registration transactions must go to the Student Services Center. Please note that prior approval/authorization from your academic advisor, Department or the Dean of your college may be required. Last day to drop a class and receive a refund of 100% of tuition & fees for Undergraduate, Graduate and Diploma students who are dropping classes, but will remain enrolled in at least one course. Tuesday, September 18	Courses dropped after the first two weeks of the semester: No refund of tuition or fees for Undergraduate, Graduate and Diploma students who are dropping classes, but will remain enrolled in at least one course. For Undergraduate, Graduate and Diploma students who "completely withdraw" from all courses during the semester, please see the Refund Schedule for Complete Withdrawal.
Wednesday, September 19, 2012	Fall Payment is due for Graduate students.
Monday, September 24, 2012	Last day of drop/add on Albert for the balance of the Graduate students.
Monday, September 24, 2012	Last day to drop fall 2012 classes and not receive a grade of "W".
Tuesday, September 25, 2012	As of today all students who wish to perform Initial registration or drop/add registration transactions must go to the Student Services Center. Please note that prior approval/authorization from your academic advisor, Department or the Dean of your college may be required.
Tuesday, September 25, 2012	Beginning today students will be issues a grade of 'W' if they drop a class from their fall schedule or withdraw for the term.
Tuesday, October 2, 2012	Initial registration on or after October 2nd will be charged a revised late registration fee. Undergraduate fee: $100.00; Graduate and Diploma fee: $50.00.

Monday, December 17 - Friday, December 21, 2012	Final Exam Period.
Saturday, December 22, 2012 - Sunday, January 6, 2013	Holiday: Winter Recess No classes scheduled. Albert available 24 hours. Note: The University, including the Office of the University Registrar, will be closed from Saturday, December 22, 2012 through Tuesday, January 1, 2013. During this period: Requests for paper transcripts or paper enrollment certifications will not be processed.

Academic Calendar Summer 2012

Course Status	The Course Search function for Summer became available in Albert on January 13, 2012.
Registration Status	During the week of January 23, 2012 access to Registration Status information in the Student Center on Albert become available. You are able to obtain the date and time that you will initially be able to enroll for summer 2012 classes, check if you require advisor clearance prior to registration, and view any negative service indicators (holds) that will prevent you from enrolling at your appointed registration date/time.

Tuesday, May 3 - Friday, August 10, 2012	Students initially registering for the Summer between these dates, will be sent a bill. (The University’s eSuite system is the official means of generating tuition bills for enrolled students.) Payment must be made within six business days of initial registration. Failure to meet the payment deadline will result in the cancellation of class reservations.
Wednesday, May 9, 2012	Summer Payment deadline.
Sunday, May 20, 2012	Last day of active waitlists for classes that start during the first 6 weeks of the Summer semester.
Sunday, May 20, 2012	Last day to register for Summer Session I courses on Albert. Registration transactions for Summer Session I after this date must be done at the Student Services Center at 25 West Fourth Street. Albert registration continues for classes in other Summer Sessions.

Academic Calendar January Term 2012

Display of the January Term 2012 Schedule of Classes	January term classes will be available in the Course Search feature of Albert beginning the week of October 3, 2011.
Registration Status	Students will be able to view their Registration Status for the January term using the Student Center on Albert beginning the week of October 10, 2011.
Withdrawal Schedule	A grade of 'W' will be issued beginning the 4th calendar day of the session.
Monday, October 24, 2011	January term Registration begins at 9:00am EST for most undergraduate, graduate, and diploma students.
Wednesday, November 16, 2011	E-Bills will be available for January term classes. Beginning this week, student's will receive an e-bill through their NYU e-mail account for the January term enrollment within two days of enrolling for their class.
Friday, December 9, 2011	The January term tuition payment is due. Failure to meet the payment deadline will result in the cancellation of class reservations.
Wednesday, December 14, 2011	Last day to drop a January term class and receive a 100% refund of tuition.
Thursday, December 15, 2011	Beginning today all students who drop a January term class will receive a refund of 100% of tuition less $500.
Thursday, December 22, 2011	The last day of active waitlists.
Thursday, December 22, 2011	The last day for all students to use Albert to add or drop January term classes.
Friday, December 23, 2011	All registration transactions (initial registration, adding a class, dropping a class) must be processed at the Student Services Center (25 West 4th Street).
Tuesday, January 3, 2012	The first day of classes for the January term. Note : Today is the last day of the winter holiday recess for the University. January term classes will be in session but only a limited number of academic services will be available.
Wednesday, January 4, 2012	All registration transactions (initial registration, dropping a class, adding a class) must be processed at the Student Services Center (25 West 4th Street).
Thursday, January 5, 2012	The last day to drop a class without the issuance of a 'W' grade.

Tuesday, January 30 - Monday, February 5, 2007	Third week of classes Withdrawal within the third calendar week of classes: refund is 55% of tuition only
Thursday, February 1, 2007	Graduate Spring payment due
Monday, February 5, 2007	Last day of drop/add on Albert for the balance of the Graduate schools. Any student wishing to perform a registration transaction after this date must go to the Student Services Center. Approval from your School or Dean may be required.
Monday, February 5, 2007	Last day to drop courses and not receive a grade of "W" for Graduate and Undergraduate students.
Tuesday, February 6 - Monday, February 12, 2007	Fourth week of classes Withdrawal within the fourth calendar week of classes: refund is 25% of tuition only
Tuesday, February 13, 2007	Start of fifth week of classes Withdrawal after completion of the fourth calendar week: No refund Initial registration on or after February 13 will be charged a late registration fee. Undergraduate fee: $100.00; Graduate fee: $50.00.
Friday, February 16 - Monday, February 19, 2007	Albert not available from 5:00pm on 2/16 through 2/19 due to software upgrades
