Student Registration - Editing Enrollment

Three type of classes allow post-registration modifications. For variable unit classes, change the number of units. For linked classes, change related class sections (lab, recitation, lecture). For Law School JD Degree classes, change grading option.


 

Change Number of Units in Variable Unit Class

  1. Click the Enrollment link within the Academics section of the Student Center.

  2. The Enrollment tab will appear. Click EDIT ENROLLMENT.

  3. When editing classes, select the correct year and term and click Continue.

  4. The variable unit classes you are allowed to edit will be listed within the drop-down menu. Select a class to edit. Click PROCEED.

  5. Based on this example, the class selected to be edited is Student Teaching in Childhood. Since the resulting selection is a variable unit class this Edit page activates the range of units available. Select the appropriate unit value and click NEXT.

  6. You will see the original value and the new unit value. Read this information carefully and click FINISH EDITING to move forward.

  7. You will receive a status message indicating the results of your enrollment request.

Change Related Class Sections for Linked Classes

  1. Click the Enrollment link within the Academics section of the Student Center.

  2. The Enrollment tab will appear. Click EDIT ENROLLMENT.

  3. When editing classes, select the correct year and term and click Continue.

  4. The list of classes you are allowed to edit will be listed within the drop-down menu. Select a class to edit. Click PROCEED.

  5. When editing related-class sections a warning message will appear as a reminder that only the remaining open sections will be available for edit. Click OK to proceed.

  6. Based on this example, the class selected to be edited is Intro to Media Studies. It is lecture section 021. This Edit page prompts you to select from the remaining open recitation sections. To select the required recitation, click the button in the first column. For this example we are selecting section 022. Click NEXT to move forward.

  7. After selecting the related class section, Class Preferences with additional information will be shown. Read this information carefully. Click NEXT to move forward.

  8. Before you complete your enrollment edit, a confirmation of the class will appear. If you are satisfied with your choices, complete your enrollment by clicking FINISH EDITING.

  9. You will receive a status message indicating if you successfully enrolled in your class(es). Error messages will indicate reasons why the transaction was unsuccessful. If you wish, you can view your enrolled classes by clicking MY CLASS SCHEDULE.

Changing Grading Option (Law School JD Degree Only)

  1. Click the Enrollment link within the Academics section of the Student Center.

  2. The Enrollment tab will appear. Click EDIT ENROLLMENT.

  3. When editing classes, select the correct year and term and click Continue.

  4. The list of classes you are allowed to edit will be listed within the drop-down menu. Select a class to edit. Click PROCEED.

  5. Since the resulting selection is eligible for grading basis edit, this Edit page activates the grading options available. Select the appropriate unit value and click NEXT.

  6. You will see the original value and the new value. Read this information carefully and click FINISH EDITING to move forward.

  7. You will receive a status message indicating the results of your enrollment edit.
