Several years ago the University's Leadership Team approved a bulk purchase program for administrative computers. The program was enormously successful and has been repeated annually ever since, with even greater results.

We are pleased to announce the 2007/2008 program with Dell Inc. where NYU will receive bulk purchase prices throughout the entire fiscal year (subject to product availability).  The 2007/2008 program includes an enhanced specification and a 4 year warranty.

**Computer Bulk Purchase Program**
Starting July 17, 2007, all non-faculty PC purchases can be made through the new program with Dell.

Administrative and financial officers can place their orders directly with Dell, using Purchasing Services i-Buy system or via Purchase Requisition through Purchasing Services with the item identified as Standard Administrative PC.

Please be advised that for this program only, Purchase Requisitions received by Purchasing Services by August 3rd, 2007, can be charged to your Fiscal 07 budget.
(i-Buy orders can be submitted after August 3rd, 2007, provided the product is delivered on or before 08/31/07 in order to be charged to the 2007 budget year).

**Reminders**
Please remember, this program is mandatory for PC Desktop computers for non-faculty administrative staff. While school officials may elect to purchase additional computers through this program for faculty and research staff, such purchases, as well as all laptop purchases, are voluntary. Apple products are excluded from this plan.

Note: The MS Office Suite Software (both Professional & Standard versions) is available through the NYU Computer Store.

Note:
The 2007/2008  NYU/Dell Bulk program is for NYU departmental purchases only.
Personal purchases are not available under this program, but you can contact the NYU Computer Store for other options.
