Economist, Author, Radio Talk Show Host And Public Intellectual Julianne Malveaux To Speak At NYU Law School

New York University School of Law will present The Annual Rose Sheinberg Scholar-in-Residence Program on Tuesday, Oct. 7, 1997 at Vanderbilt Hall, 40 Washington Square South, Room 204. Admission is free and everyone is welcome. A reception will follow the talk.

This year's Scholar in Residence is the noted economist, author, radio talk show host and public intellectual Dr.Julianne Malveaux. The title of Dr. Malveaux's talk is "What is Economic Justice, and How Do We Attain it?"

Dr. Malveaux is familiar to those in Washington D.C. through "The Julianne Malveaux Show." In addition, she writes a column syndicated by King Features and is the author of Sex, Lies and Stereotypes: Perspectives of a Mad Economist.

Marcia Ann Gillespie, editor-in-chief of Ms. Magazine, will introduce Dr. Malveaux.

Rose Sheinberg, born in 1904, graduated from NYU Law in 1950. The annual Sheinberg Scholar is recognized for outstanding work on issues of gender, race and class.
