FREE AND OPEN TO PUBLIC -- At NYU Law - Monday, Feb. 10, 6:30-8 PM
WHAT: Although a new World Trade Center may not rise for a decade, New York City is already being transformed. The intense public debate surrounding the redevelopment of 16 acres in Lower Manhattan is reshaping residents' expectations for what the city could be, both downtown and beyond. What trends will affect New York City during the next 10 or even 50 years? And how will the metropolitan area as a whole change - from the South Bronx to Southampton?
These and other questions will be addressed in a panel discussion, "THE FUTURE OF THE CITY: ENVISIONING THE NEXT NEW YORK," to be sponsored by THE NEXT AMERICAN CITY, a new magazine on the future of American cities and suburbs. The event will celebrate the magazine's launch.
