FRIDAY, NOV. 22, 2002 - FREE AND OPEN TO THE PUBLIC
New York University’s Annual Survey of American Law, a student-edited journal at NYU dedicated to exploring contemporary legal developments in the United States, will hold a symposium entitled, “Recent Developments and the Future of Public Education” on Friday, Nov. 22, from 8:30 am to 5 pm, at the NYU School of Law, 40 Washington Square South. (CLE credit available, $15 fee)
Keynote speaker will be Dr. Eugene Hickok, Under Secretary of the U.S. Department of Education. Other participants include Christopher Cerf, president and chief operating officer of Edison Schools; Randi Weingarten, president of the United Federation of Teachers; Elliot Mincberg, legal director of People for the American Way; Frank Macchiarola, president of St. Francis College; and John Sexton, president of New York University.
