Top criminologist and New York University Law Professor Jim Jacobs is available to offer commentary on gun control and the recent spate of murders in Washington and Maryland.

In his just-published book Can Gun Control Work? (Oxford Press), Jim offers a realistic assessment of gun control and why it simply doesn't work. He also offers sensible solutions on public policy and gun safety and can talk concretely about how America's pervasive gun violence can be reduced.

Jim can be reached at 212.998.6213, e-mail: jacobs@juris.law.nyu.edu. My number is 212.998.6849.

Importantly, Jim is extremely articulate and comfortable on camera. The interview would be lively, substantive and somewhat controversial--as many of Jim's ideas run counter to conventional wisdom.

Please let me know if you would like to have a copy of his book.
