The Brennan Center for Justice at New York University will present the Thomas M. Jorde Symposium entitled, “Constitutionalizing Women’s Equality”

Tuesday, April 3, 2001, 4:00 PM D’Agostino Hall, 108 West 3rd Street The event is free and open to the public

Kathleen M. Sullivan, Dean of Stanford Law School, will be guest lecturer, and Michael C. Dorf, Vice Dean and Professor of Law at Columbia University School of Law, and Lawrence G. Sager, the Robert B. McKay Professor of Law at NYU, will offer commentary.

Dean Sullivan, whose specialty is constitutional law, is co-author of the classic casebooks, Constitutional Law and First Amendment Law. Dean Sullivan also has served as co-counsel in numerous cases before the Supreme Court. Professor Dorf has written dozens of scholarly articles and with Laurence H. Tribe is the co-author of the book, On Reading the Constitution. Professor Sager is the founder and co-director of the Colloquium on Constitutional Theory, which is widely regarded as the premier venue for the discussion of modern constitutional scholarship.
