Campus Transportation

Our bus system operates two scheduled routes during the fall and spring semesters, which connect the Washington Square campus with locations that are beyond a reasonable walking distance from the center of campus. The system generally operates during the fall and spring semesters when classes are in session from 7 a.m. to 12 midnight on weekdays and 10 a.m. to 12 midnight on weekends.

Our Safe Ride is a shared ride, on demand van service, intended to provide safe overnight transportation to and from NYU facilities during the fall and spring semesters at times when buses do not operate.

University Transportation is free to any NYU student, faculty, staff, or alumnus who presents a valid NYU ID card. Proper ID cards must be presented to board any of the vehicles.

Route information and schedules for all current services may be accessed on line at this web site. Please refer to the Announcements page of this web site for dates when regular service will be suspended or altered for holidays, or those dates when the University is closed.

The University Transportation Services staff may be reached during regular business hours at (212) 998-1458.
