Senators Lugar and Sarbanes Tackle Congress' Role in Shaping Domestic and Foreign Policy

Event Marks the Debut of NYU’s Brademas Center for the Study of Congress

Senators Richard G. Lugar (R-IN) and U.S. Senator Paul S. Sarbanes (D-MD) will explore the current relationship between the Executive and Legistlative branches of the Federal government, and the push-and-pull that takes place in the policymaking arena, at The First Annual Bernard & Irene Schwartz Lecture on Congress, taking place Sept.15 at The Library of Congress, in Washington, D.C. The discussion, which will be moderated by Dr. Norman J. Ornstein, resident scholar at the American Enterprise Institute, is the debut event for New York University’s John Brademas Center for the Study of Congress, housed at NYU’s Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service.
