New York University’s College of Arts and Science will host a public lecture, “The Tuskegee Syphilis Experiment: A Tragedy of Race and Medicine,” by author James H. Jones, on Thursday, November 12, 4 p.m. at NYU’s Hemmerdinger Hall, Silver Center for Arts and Science, Room 102, 100 Washington Square East (at Washington Place). Jones is the author of Bad Blood: The Tuskegee Syphilis Experiment, America and Its People and Alfred C. Kinsey: A Public/Private Life. He will be introduced by Dr. Rueben Warren, director of Tuskegee University’s National Center for Bioethics in Research and Health Care and former director of Infrastructure Development for the National Center on Minority Health and Health Disparities at the National Institutes of Health.
