NYU to Offer Parking Reimbursement Again for Neighbors' Cars Displaced by Incoming Students

N-526, 2008-09
* COMMUNITY ADVISORY *
Sunday, August 30, 2009 is NYU’s annual “Move-In Day,” when freshman class students arrive at NYU residence halls for the start of the fall semester. Because of the volume of arriving students - many of whom are dropped off by car with their belongings - parking is prohibited in front of NYU dorms on that day.
The University recognizes that this can be a significant inconvenience for its neighbors. So, NYU will reimburse the parking costs of local residents living between Houston St. and 14th St between, from 2nd Avenue to 6th Avenue who need to use a garage.
Neighbors seeking reimbursement can bring their original parking receipt and proof of residency to the University’s Office of Government and Community Affairs (OGCA) between 9:00 am and 5:00 pm, Monday-Friday, or they can mail it to OGCA at 25 West 4th St, 5th Fl, New York, NY 10012. The office can be reached by phone (212.998.2400), by email (community.affairs@nyu.edu), or on the web www.nyu.edu/ogca .
